WBD invites you to get connected with Craig Aderhold, Market President - Northeast Wisconsin/Lakeshore, Wisconsin Bank and Trust. Craig holds the primary responsibility of leading the commercial banking teams in the Green Bay and Sheboygan markets.
In addition to playing an integral role as a member of the WBD Board of Directors (since 2018, currently Chairman of the Board of Directors and Vice Chair of the Lender Oversight Committee), Craig is involved with many different organizations in his community. These include:
- Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce - current Business Development Taskforce member, in addition to previous roles as Board member and Chairman
- First United Methodist Church - Green Bay - Investment Committee member
- Great Lakes Asset Corporation - Board member (2004-2018), serving as Board President (2013-2018)
- TEC-12 (Vistage) member, since 2019
WBD: During your time with the organizations listed above, what have you experienced that has helped further your professional career?
Craig: "Leadership mentoring by the heads of the organizations including Laurie Radke at the Greater Green Bay Chamber and our own Dan Schneider; most notably, Kevin Tenpas, retired, as Pres./CEO of Wisconsin Bank and Trust who patiently counseled me for 20+years."
WBD: What experiences through these different organizations have helped you to expand your skills and connections?
Craig: "Many of my connections/friendships have been developed through the bank and non-profit Boards. I have been priviledged/honored to serve in the capacity of President/Chair in a number of great organizations noted above and others such as Scholarships, Inc. and Greater Green Bay Optimist Club. Each experience had its unique challenges and has certainly humbled me. My strategic thinking skills certainly were enhanced serving in these roles."
WBD: What's the single best piece of advice you've been given?
Craig: "Hire good people, give them guide rails and get out of the way!"
WBD: What advice do you have for up and comers in your field?
Craig: "Learn all you can about the businesses you serve. Be inquisitive and listen, listen, listen. Invest in developing the skills necessary to seperate yourself from the competition. Read sales books written by authors such as Matthew Dixon and Brent Adamson, Jeb Blount and Anthony Iannarino; put their thoughts/recommendations into action."
WBD: If you could visit one country you haven’t been to, where would it be and why?
Craig: "Germany for the beer, of course. German is also both my wife's and my primary ethnicity."
