We’re proud to support Wisconsin Rural Partners (WRP), an organization that helps convene rural communities around economic development issues throughout the state of Wisconsin.
WRP’s Administration Manager, Megan Purtell, and retired President, Sandy Decker, came to WBD to provide assistance for their 2023 annual summit. The summit’s theme this year was collaboration, to best assist communities in building capacity, with a summit agenda to greatly increase networking with several resources on hand.
WRP, with WBD’s assistance, aimed to:
- Increase the number of summit participants
- Counter high costs of the conference, allowing them to keep attendee registration prices reasonable
- Boost the event’s agenda and line-up by further increasing networking opportunities, including extended time with resource representatives through the use of round-table discussions.
We have supported WRP in the past, and they have proven themselves to live up to their mission of supporting rural prosperity and quality of life statewide. It sounds as though the summit was a complete success and WRP received very positive feedback on the event. We hope to partner with WRP again in the future!
